Amadeus is a key strategic delivery Programme.  It builds new capability to support our long-term growth plans and is central to the Integrated Trading Engine.  BI/Amadeus Integration and Reporting will not only deliver Amadeus reporting requirements but also ensure data is shared with other key applications.

What you will be doing

  • Complete high-level design and agree DA sign-off
  • Close open KDDs from high level design
  • Define and manage interface list and document integration flows for Amadeus and Legacy solutions
  • Define architectural system dependencies and order in which components are built, decoupled and integrated (e.g. Customer hub, ACE, Call Centre, etc)
  • Provide Design Governance through detailed design phase (review & approve all supplier designs, detailed data model, infrastructure and report designs)
  • Support data mapping iterations and align to the common data model
  • Support creation of the migration planning approach deliverable (principles and rollout)
  • Support definition of the Service model for Azure integration
  • Provide defect triage assistance throughout test phase
  • Define volume and capacity requirements with the Amadeus Programme
  • Identify components needed to remove Change++ servers and define solution components
  • Provide technical project oversight

What we are looking for

  • Solid experience as an Enterprise Architect within Data & BI
  • Experience of Azure and AWS solutions
  • Strong knowledge of TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture framework
  • Experience managing highly technical staff within architecture.
  • A passionate technology “evangelist” with the ability to sell IT and technology to all stakeholders
  • Proven experience of working with IT suppliers in an outsourced environment
  • The ability to work across multiple projects in parallel and the ability to contribute to wider group strategies
  • Good commercial understanding of IT services. Demonstrable ability to engage with vendors and review technical proposals from a commercial angle to ensure technical solutions meet Whitbread's requirements
