Adult Social Work Team
35 hours per week
£17,624 - £18,281 (includes Distant Islands Allowance)
We require a Clerical Assistant to join the Adult Social Work Team within Orkney Health and Care. The successful candidate will provide all aspects of administrative support to the wider service as required and will work closely with the Administration Manager to ensure that a high level of clerical support is provided.
Duties will include telephone answering and reception; management of the Team’s correspondence, case records and filing generally; management of team diaries and appointments including making travel arrangements and bookings; minute taking of a range of meetings; maintenance of financial systems, purchasing and invoice processing and IT support to the Team.
You will have experience of working effectively within an Administration team, have excellent administration and computer skills, ideally using Microsoft Office applications. You will need to be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines, use your own initiative, maintain confidentiality and be able to work unsupervised. We are looking for a good communicator and with excellent organisational skills as you will be part of a team liaising with members of the public, service users, families, external agencies and professionals.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of an SVQ2 or an equivalent level qualification in an administration related subject OR where the essential qualification is not held a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an administrative role is required.
