The Role - Clerical Adisor

Monday to Friday £16.00 per hour

Our team of clerical advisors resolve potential clerical marking issues on hard copy scripts. The clerical coordinator oversees this team of clerical advisors. The clerical checking process ensures that candidates get the right result, first time, on time, every time.

Job details

  • Contribute to the day to day resolving of potential clerical errors as per the responsibilities of the Clerical Advisors.
  • Oversee the clerical checking process along with the Cambridge International Operations support colleague.
  • Work with the Cambridge International Operations Lead to monitor workload/deadlines and allocate staff to appropriate days.
    • Organise sample checking of the work within the team.
    • Provide progress updates to the Operations support colleague for the daily conference calls.
    • Liaise with product managers if further guidance is needed on how to check a script.
    • Work with colleagues to resolve issues and ensure there is strong communication between the teams.
    • Escalate issues/concerns to the Operations Lead.
  • Sign-off that the clerical checking is complete at the end of the series.

Essential experience required

Previous experience in an administrative role

Excellent business communication skills (written and verbal, including email, face to face and telephone)

Minimum C grade (or equivalent) GCSE in English and Maths

Educated at A-Level (or equivalent)


Teaching experience

Exam marking experience
