This post is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse wishing to have a career working in community either with experience or would wish an opportunity to develop and learn new skills within a community setting. This work is within an integrated Health and Social Care Partnership and in a multi-disciplinary setting including our Advanced Nurse Practitioner Service. The location for this post is Eastwood Health and Social Care or Barrhead Health and Care Centre.The post covers all adult patients who require the support and expertise of the Community Nursing Service; this covers a wide range of clinical conditions. You will provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. You will function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience to lead and enable the district nursing team to provide a quality nursing service.
It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and you will support the district nurse in delivering care to patients within the caseload. It would be desirable to have post qualifying experience but newly qualified Registered Nurses would be considered. You should have evidence of continuing professional development. Having a current driving licence would be desirable. The shift pattern for this post is over 7 days as fits the needs of the service. As holding current full professional registration is an essential requirement for the post, candidates who do not complete the professional registration section of the application form or who do not hold current full registration may not be considered for shortlisting This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
