Howells Solutions are working with a leading property business to recruit a Contracts Manager to deliver a portfolio of insurance repairs works. You will be responsible for managing the client relationship, overseeing a small team carrying private domestic property insurance repairs.

This is a key role within the organisation with huge potential for future growth / turnover, it's therefore imperative that the successful candidate has a proven track record in delivering insurance works.

The Contracts Manager will manage a team of surveyors, administrators, trades team and sub-contractors dealing with up to 35 new losses a month with an average monthly value of £150k.

Through hands on leadership, you will drive client satisfaction, ensuring targets are exceeded and quality is achieved. You will create an environment for growth, mentoring staff and through employee development programs.

Projects must be delivered on time and within budget whilst ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.

The successful Contracts Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing the client relationships to ensure smooth delivery of contracts
  • Carrying out site visits to validate and schedule claims received from our client
  • Supervising larger works and carrying out on-site audits to ensure compliance with health & safety and good working practices
  • Allocating correct trades and materials to jobs
  • Ensuring gross margins and net contributions are delivered in line with agreed targets and that maximum productivity and efficiency is achieved
  • Producing management reports including weekly/monthly revenue targets and financial forecasts
  • Mentoring, training and performance managing the team as well as recruitment as necessary
