My client is looking for a somebody with circa 2-3 years IT Support experience in a Service Desk/ Desktop Support capacity working with a myriad of the different hardware system support and strong user support experience where you have been used to floor walking as well as solving issues remotely. You MUST be ambitious with an appetite to move into Networking Engineering to developer more server-side and WAN exposure.

Must have experience with Windows 7 / 10 and using Active Directory with Networking permissions, setting up and deleting user accounts and troubleshooting issues. Experience with printers laptops and VPNs are crucial as is Sharepoint and Exchange knowledge.

Your day to day role will be extremely varied, alternating from fixing and solving issues remotely through to floor-walking working on desktop hardware, routers, switches, printers and whilst you will be based in Merthyr but might be required on the odd occasion to travel to France, Slough or even the US on the rare occasion. There are c. 300 users across x4 sites. My client has a huge backlog of exciting projects from a complete roll-out of new mobile phones through to a whole new VMWare project as well as putting various services in the Cloud. This role will require your valuable input and advice to help steer the direction of technology selection and best practices.

A key quality we are looking for is a positive happy and outgoing attitude and a real "can-do" mentality. Also in this role, we require you to have the ability to troubleshoot methodically and identify root cause issues through careful meticulous step by step actions. Previous experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Office 365, basic LAN networking, firewalls, connectivity and VPN troubleshooting are key. Experience with telephony systems is a bonus.
