District Nursing is an essential front line service, delivering differing levels of care to a range of patients in their own home or a homely setting. North Glasgow District Nursing Night Service operates from Stobhill ACH and covers a population within North Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire in the Out of Hours period from 16:30 to 08:30. The District Nursing Night Service provides a range of planned and unplanned interventions with varying levels of complexities. 2 teams of 3 staff (band 6, band 5 and band 3) operate on a nightly basis. Referrals to the service come from a range of sources including GP practices, community nursing, acute services, patients, carers and families. This is a senior nursing post which ensures that there is experience to manage the more complex patients within their own home whilst ensuring patient safety, staff governance and support to the Team. There is a focus on ensuring that patients can be supported in their own homes especially if they choose to remain there at the end of life. It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with a post registration qualification in District Nursing. A current Driving Licence would be beneficial. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme. PLEASE READ AND SAVE THE CANDIDATE APPLICATION PACK BEFORE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. This post closes on the 6th July 2018.
