Experience of mechanical design would be beneficial, especially development of automated machinery.
The purpose of the Engineering Project Manager job is to manage a team of engineers in the development of new products. You will be managing projects from development through to manufacture and ensuring projects are delivered on time and in budget.
Key responsibilities of the Engineering Project Manager job:
*Manage projects from concept through to delivery in line with ISO9001 requirements
*Plan and schedule project milestones and timelines and estimate the resources needed to achieve these
*Draft and submit budget proposals and assess the need for additional staff alongside the Engineering Manager
*Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Key skills required for the Engineering Project Manager job:
*You will ideally have a mechanical background but others will be considered and previous experience of working within a technical project management role
*Experience of managing acceptance processes, test strategy, defining technical deployment and integration strategy
*Strong analytical skills
*New product development experience would be preferred
*Familiarity with waterfall development methodologies would be beneficial
*A proficient user of MS Project
