Our client is a fast growing tech company providing powerful CRM and loyalty platforms to the shopping centre & retail industry. They are a team of 45 based in Farringdon, London and Eastern Europe. They have signed up the biggest of the biggest players in the market and work on complex consulting projects and are now expanding rapidly in the middle east, specifically Dubai which is where this role will be based.

They are looking for a highly technical Enterprise Architect to join the team in Dubai. The first project will be a large loyalty management system (LMS) spanning the Middle East and you will be the Technical Head, defining the overall structure of the digital loyalty program. You’ll act as the technical mind pulling all the different systems together, designing the end to end solution.

It’s essential to understand all aspects of each system, from both a business and technical point of view. This means having a good ( and demonstrable) working knowledge of programming languages, API, retail systems and as a bonus Point of Sale systems.

You will need to be very confident liaising with people from different backgrounds, from management to designers and programmers in the IT department, to ensure the project meets the needs of the client and the people who’ll be using it. An inquisitive nature, a knowledgeable mind and a understanding of customer management & loyalty is another bonus.

A willingness to relocate to Dubai ( if not already there) on a long term basis is required and a short notice period is also desirable due to work time frames.

Some of the main tasks you be involved in include:

  • Identifying the low level client needs - this means getting under the skin of the requirements and understand the depths of the system levels and advice clients on 'what is possible’.
  • Breaking down large scale projects into manageable chunks
  • Agreeing plans with the client with the support of the project manager
  • Explaining to designers and developers what’s required and overseeing the progress
  • Producing documents that monitor progress and ensure the quality of the project
  • Producing system architecture documents and walking both technical and not technical people through them
  • Advising the client on managing future IT needs

Required skills:

  • Good communication with clients/operational managers - listening and providing answers

  • Ability to build from good relationships with clients/operational managers and colleagues
  • Ability to gather and assimilate information
  • Up to date knowledge of technical applications - TOGAF qualification desirable
  • Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice
  • Ability to be adapt and prioritise
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
