Fantastic job opportunity for an Executive Director - Organisational Transformation and Change paying c£100k

We are working exclusivity with a well-known public sector organisation who are in their market for an Interim Executive Director of Organisational Transformation & Change. The organisation are in a period of change and are about to go through their biggest transformational change period and are looking to appoint to support them on their journey.

This position will be reporting into the Chief Executive and the organisation are looking for a transformational leader who can evidence a strong background in delivering and enabling change management in organisational form, function and behaviours; with the ability to show the impact such changes have on the business in delivering our priorities and outcomes. The organisation are about to go through a massive project to ensure all their providers are working together and providing the best service to the public. This role will focus on working with the senior leadership team to understand their key challenges in their areas and what challenges they may face on this transformation. Your role will be to support them and provide strategic level support to the board and build the people's organisation based on the new strategy. The role will involve analysing the organisation structure, understanding capabilities, behaviours, skills, recruitment processes within the organisation and making the necessary changes which will include a full new organisation design, job evaluation and implementation of this with support from the HR Operational team whilst maintaining service levels and planning for the future.

We are looking for an innovative, motivated and highly skilled transformation and change specialist to provide strategic and professional leadership experience to underpin and direct our transformation.

  • Extensive management and leadership experience, with the ability to evidence transformational work on workforce cultures and behaviours, in complex organisations, to deliver improved outcomes
  • Strong track record in transformation and organisation change management roles including the ability to evidence the importance of integration
  • Professional qualification a CIPD Chartered Member
  • A strategic understanding of organisational change in form and function that enables and empowers staff, with evidence to show the impact of such change through modern transformation, workforce and OD practices, resourcing, values and behaviours and restructures.
  • Experience of successful partnership working
  • A good understanding of people-focus, place-based delivery of services in neighbourhoods
  • Developed and applied expertise in leading collaborative working with stakeholders, within and external to the organisation
  • Proven ability to build personal and professional creditability with Councillors, senior management, staff at all levels, trade unions and professional bodies
  • An in depth understanding of the political agenda in public services and the challenges facing the workforce
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to read situations and obtain commitment from others
  • Ability to evidence commercial acumen

You will be offered a 12 months fixed term contract paying c£100k with the chance to work with an organisation who is on a major transformation journey. The benefits on offer are 25 days holiday and a fantastic pension.
