The essence of this exciting role is to work within a small Commercial Team that provides a variety of commercial construction services to external clients and other team members. As a QS with more than 5 years experience within either a main contractor, QS consultancy or residential housebuilder enviroment it is expected that you will be involved with supporting the commercial requirements of the Directors, the Commercial Manager and may be required to support and mentor less experienced team members.
The Commercial team are responsible for both the procurement and cost management process of construction projects valued £200k - £5 million. Based in our rural office in South West Hertfordshire, CLPM anticipate that you’ll enjoy contributing in a flat structured, open culture that highly values its’ team and believes in a healthy work-life balance.
You will have managed the relationships with external suppliers, the valuation & payment process with clients and subcontractors, be used to supporting a team with JCT contractual matters and potentially have managed internal teams.
This role includes performing a wide range of tasks including helping prepare budgets (and supporting other team members doing so), tendering, contract preparation, Contract Administration including providing cost for variations, raising certification, completion of final accounts and the accompanying administrative support to other CLPM team members. The work will be mostly based from offices currently in Rickmansworth but the motivation and self-discipline to work remotely from home and visit site is essential.
