The SEN Teaching Assistant role

>Work with a class of around 6-8 pupils mixed in both difficulties and age.
>Work in either KS1/KS2 and provide general class support.
>Attend regular team meetings and in-house training to ensure you are fully equipped with the knowledge and tools to exceed in this role.

It is essential for this role that you can work in a challenging environment and have the relevant experience doing so. Non-graduates with extensive experience within SEN/PMLD/SEMH will be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant role, and any training within Makaton/PECS/TeamTeach will be extremely advantageous.

Location: Newham, East London
Role: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – graduate or experienced SEN workers suitable
Pay: £70-75 a day
Duration: Starting immediately – interviews commencing in the next few weeks
Specifications: Minimum 2:1 degree with a strong and resilient nature (non-graduates considered with extensive experience in specialist education)
Desirable: Training or experience working within Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or behavioural roles.
