Exsurgo Finance are recruiting an Interim Senior FP&A Manager for this instantly recognised group of retail brands based in central London.This is a minimum of 6 months to cover maternity leave.

The purpose of this role is to understand performance across all business units and develop reports and forecasting tools that support the senior management team in their decision-making and the delivery of the Company's operational and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Reporting
- Oversee the monthly group management reporting process, prepared by the Financial Accountant, including profit and loss by brand, wholesale by customer and retail performance by store
- Oversee the monthly local management reporting process, prepared by the Financial Accountant, review analyses by business unit, retail and wholesale trade by customer, balance sheet, cashflow and working capital
- Review in-month performance and provide insightful analyses to variances to budget and prior year, especially gross margin by business unit

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Coordinate and produce quarterly revisions
- Prepare analysis and commentary on forecasts for the Management Committee
- Work closely with all Business Units to develop and maintain accurate forecasts throughout the year
- Build and maintain integrated financial models (including P&L, cash flow and balance sheet)
- Maintain direct cashflow, provide monthly rolling forecast to senior based on operational knowledge across the business compared to the projection prepared at the beginning of the year
- Monitor foreign exchange position for cashflow purposes and provide update on recommendations/exposure based on trading updates

Financial Control
- Work closely with the sales and production teams to ensure the business' gross margin targets are delivered and any variances are adequately explained and addressed

Information Technology
- Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of IT systems and internal controls

Operational Support
- Provide financial expertise and operational support to Senior Management (across all business units)
- Develop ad hoc reporting tools and KPI's, as required
- Identify operational weaknesses/inefficiencies and recommend process improvements and corrective actions

Required Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA/ACCA but not essential)
- Operational experience in consumer retail & wholesale sector - ideal but not essential
- Microsoft Dynamics Navision knowledge desired not required
