Exclusive Opportunity! A highly successful business based in the heart of Manchester City Centre is on the hunt for an experienced, ambitious and talented Head of Digital Marketing and Online Trading to manage the department and devise innovative campaigns!

Our client is a leading B2B company who distributes and trades throughout Europe and across the globe! Having moved to trendy offices based in a prestigious location in Manchester City Centre, you will be just a stone’s throw from excellent transport links as well as a plethora of shops, bars, and restaurants! Due to an influx in new business, they now require a new Head of Digital Marketing and Online Trading to join the team!

This is an exciting new opportunity where the successful candidate will have the responsibility of managing the commercial performance of the business whilst also maintaining a solid understanding of the industry in order to respond to make changes in a timely manner. The Head of Digital Marketing and Online Trading will also be accountable for optimising sales, profits and performance as well managing a small, talented team! The role will also require the triumphant candidate to improve the international performance marketing strategy using a variation of digital marketing techniques including PPC, SEO, Programmatic display and Affiliates!

The Main Responsibilities of the Head of Digital Marketing and Online Trading:

  • Take charge of the international performance marketing strategy - delivering growth for PPC, Shopping, Paid Social, Programmatic Display, Affiliates, and Remarketing
  • Manage and ensure that all department KPI’s are achieved by planning and implementing merchandising and conversion activities such as promotions and PR
  • Maximise revenue by identifying new commercial and marketing opportunities whilst also producing regular forecasts and budgets
  • Oversee the SEO strategy including content marketing & technical SEO
  • On a regular basis, trial and implement new digital acquisition techniques
  • Create a new working model which will meet short-term campaigns whilst also aiming for long-term plans
  • Work closely with other departments in regards to target keyword strategies as well as building strong work relationships with key agency partners

The Perfect Candidate:

  • A degree in a relevant business subject
  • Experience in a similar digital acquisition role is essential
  • Proven track record of growing sales in a digital-based company
  • Expert knowledge of multi-channel marketing and experience working in a multi-channel organisation
  • Strong understanding of SEO techniques and best practices combined with a solid understanding of international PPC
  • Capable of managing large budgets, developing a team and building third-party relationships
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced eCommerce environment
  • An analytical individual with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding of financial frameworks and financial planning!
