We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, business oriented HR professional in our UK office based in Reading.

The HR Manager will oversee strategic human resource initiatives and processes in our UK office, as well as in either our offices in France or Italy. This position acts as a full business partner to management in helping to define HR strategies that align the needs of employees with the organisation's and its clients'. They also play a critical role in helping to influence the desired office culture, leadership and working environment.

The essential duties for this position revolve around Organisational Effectiveness, Employee Development, Employee Engagement, and Talent Acquisition. Some of these duties include:

  • Acting as a strategic business partner and ensuring that HR tasks are aligned with, and fully support the needs of the business. This is done through active involvement in business meetings, organisational planning sessions, and labour planning.
  • Providing the necessary guidance on employees’ development through coaching managers on performance reviews, performance management, and career planning.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to develop proactive resourcing strategies resulting in the selection and hiring of Best-in-Class employees, through job analysis, and managing the entire recruiting cycle.
  • Partnering with business leaders to complete annual labour budgets, workforce plans, bonus and salary allocations, as well as promotion recommendations.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of accurate and complete human resource records, including but not limited to, personnel records, time-off schedules, turnover data, training records, etc.
  • Managing one team member in the UK office (Office Coordinator).

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter possessing strong influencing skills and with experience of working in complex matrix organisations in an international context. They will also possess the following:

  • 5 to 8 years' experience in human resources, including partnering closely with the business to help achieve the company's targets.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law and local HR policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in French or Italian would be advantageous.
