KS1 Teaching Assistant for Autism Person Specification:
You should be a cheerful graduate who has achieved well in your degree, having earned at least a second class degree and experience supporting children with SEN. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to progress the educational, academic and social wellbeing of pupils with barriers to learning. You must have the skills to bring your upbeat attitude to the classroom and understand a child's needs and act accordingly. We want to recruit a graduate who has the skills to clearly explain their ideas to students and communicate with teachers in a warm yet professional manner.


About the KS1 Teaching Assistant for Autism Role:
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant for Autism you will be working across the whole of KS1 and Early years in this specialist SEN provision. You will receive continual support and guidance from the knowledgeable ASD Lead. Students work well with the interactive play areas and you should incorporate it in your teaching. You will have responsibility to lead groups and 1:1 sessions within the small classes in the provision. This KS1 Teaching Assistant for Autism position involves helping to plan stimulating lessons and working with pupils with ASD and complex needs.
