Your contribution Jobsrepublic is in need of a Lead Back-end Engineer with a hands-on approach and a strategic mindset who is able to set up the backend behind the new campaign tracker. The campaign tracker helps our clients follow the success of their hyper targeted job marketing campaigns. We have already started working on the frontend but need you to build the backend and integrations with the ad channels (Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram). The campaign tracker will become the backbone of the most rapidly growing part of our business and will be crucial to our success.
Within the first nine months you will have familiarized yourself with the architecture of our main SaaS offering: an applicant tracking system we call Jobsrepublic ONE, heavily in use by Dutch municipalities. We have a team in place covering ongoing maintenance but want to move the product forward. Our frontend team is finishing a rewrite of the frontend using VueJS and we need you to lead a similar revamp of the backend. You will redesign the architecture to become more like a 12 factor app and move the app to a cloud PaaS provider that you help us choose.
You have (a): Proactive, self-starting, can-do mentality. Proficiency in Java, with strong architectural skills. Working knowledge of the Spring framework. Solid experience with relational databases. An Agile mindset. Willingness to teach and coach others. Experience with DevOps tools and procedures.
We hope that you bring: Experience with using PaaS providers (as in Heroku, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Redhat Openshift, IBM Bluemix, Google App Engine or Cloud Foundry). Experience integrating with apis from Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Linkedin Ads, Twitter Ads.
