ABOUT THE ROLE

Oxford University Press seeks an enthusiastic and motivated candidate for the position of Marketing Executive on our Global Academic team. The Marketing Executive will work across the Science disciplines of Physics and Maths in planning, implementing and reporting on marketing campaigns.

  • Research, plan and implement marketing campaigns using the full marketing mix, including digital and social media marketing and exhibitions
  • Develop inbound marketing campaigns to drive traffic and sales
  • Create new, exciting content marketing campaigns using a range of social media channels including the OUPblog, Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr
  • Analyze sales data, competition, market feedback and marketing effectiveness to create reports for internal stakeholders and inform campaign strategy
  • Contribute to the budget planning process and manage marketing expenditure
  • Provide ongoing marketing support to authors and be proactive with ideas
  • Regular communication with editors, external partners, and global OUP offices via e-mail, phone, and face-to-face meetings

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • The ideal candidate should possess the ability to balance a variety of responsibilities and handle many projects simultaneously, efficiently, and accurately
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate initiative, creative problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including editing and copyediting are necessary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must
  • BS/BA degree and 2+ years of marketing experience required

Preferred:

  • Social media experience desired
  • Science background
  • Knowledge of HTML and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
