Salary: £35,000 - £48,000 per annum


Brewster Pratap are working in partnership with an award winning manufacturing company in Doncaster who operate in an international market, to recruit a Marketing Manager to head up their UK marketing. The role would suit a Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing, Marketing Communications Manager, Brand Manager or similar who is comfortable in a management job and can easily commute from Doncaster, Rotherham, Scunthorpe and surrounding areas.


As Marketing Manager you will be responsible for promoting brand and product quality through building awareness in the marketplace through the use of all available channels, growing sales and market share through strategically planned campaigns, promotions and communications mainly B2B but some B2C.

Areas of responsibility will include:

  • Planning, co-ordinating & managing all marketing activities both short and long term through all available channels - to cover advertising and promotional activities including print, electronic and direct mail as well as partnerships and exhibitions
  • Planning, implementing & evaluating a range of HTML email campaigns targeting customers with specific product messages to enhance brand communications & ultimately sales
  • Enhancing the brand in the marketplace, upholding its guarantees and reputation for excellence
  • Working closely with distributors and customers to maintain the brand and message of the business
  • Ensuring marketing deadlines are met through working closely with colleagues across the business, especially within product management and sales
  • Building productive working partnerships with relevant trade bodies, industry organisations and also stock is and distributors
  • Working closely with business customers within distribution channels to ensure a coherent approach and brand consistency
  • Ensuring all marketing collateral is available and up to date for the sales team - working in collaboration with front line staff to meet their needs and requirements
  • Reporting on effectiveness of campaigns: making recommendations and taking corrective action where required to ensure marketing objectives are met throughout the annual plan
  • Ensuring that the marketing communications plan meets the needs of the changing market and the brand offering is competitive
  • Working to enhance and uphold the message of the brand, its guarantees of quality and reputation for excellence
  • Planning, implementing and successfully launching new products into the marketplace
  • Enhancing the company's social media presence, improving business awareness and building case studies and testimonials from customers
  • Working closely with external agencies such as design to produce materials that targets specific customer groups
  • Researching, analysing and monitoring industry and competitor news and developments to ensure market opportunities are seized upon and any adverse competitive activity minimised
  • Conducting extensive market research
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the company website and social media presence, including managing SEO content - developing and writing engaging content for the company website
  • Responsible for the marketing budget, analysing potential activities and ensuring best ROI at all times

To be successful in your application you need to be able to:

  • Demonstrate a substantial amount of Marketing Management experience ideally within a product-focused role as well as a degree or Master's degree in marketing or relevant subject [or equivalent experience]
  • Demonstrate experience in product marketing rather than service marketing, ideally within a B2B environment in the construction, manufacturing or engineering sector
  • Possess strong grammar and communication skills - able to create marketing material and press releases, and prepare presentations for Directors and for the Sales team to take out to customers, some of whom are large national distributors
  • Have the confidence and communication skills to present your ideas and recommendations to internal colleagues and Directors clearly
  • Be able to use your analytical skills to collect data and interpret in order to monitor the ROI and effectiveness of campaigns
