An opportunity has arisen for a part time Nursing Auxiliary to provide experienced support to Dermatology service - the successful candidate will have substantial experience working within Dermatology. The role will encompass all aspects of supporting dermatology service but will particularly focus on delivery of enhanced treatment service at Dermatology Department initially at New Vic ACH under guidance of Charge Nurse. As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will carry out personal care duties for patients in support of and supervised by a registered nurse. You will also carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the Department. Following a period of education and supervision you will carry out basic dressings and bandaging treatments for patients and also following a period of education and supervision you will carry out temperature, Blood pressure monitoring and urinalysis measurement for patients, subsequently reporting findings to a registered nurse. You should have an SVQ11 in healthcare or working towards or equivalent experience working in a caring environment/role along with significant experience at band 2 level (or above) within dermatology specialty.
