Cygnet Hospital Bury offers a comprehensive range of services for young people and offers them a full education. It has 14 wards delivering Intensive Care through to Locked Rehabilitation. It also provides a unique, bi-lingual service for men and women who are deaf in a secure environment.

We are currently looking for a Part time Receptionist to support our busy administration department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

– To act as first point of contact between the public, outside professionals, staff and other hospital units in respect of routine telephone calls, general enquiries and attendance on site.

– Deal with enquiries face to face and via telephone; receive and make telephone calls , Emails ,faxes as required, ensuring accuracy of detail, with a prompt, appropriate response.

– Greet and receive visitors to the Hospital, advising relevant staff of guest arrival and making guests comfortable and welcome.

– Establish good positive working relationships with all staff, visitors and users of the service.

– Be constantly aware of first impressions issues in and around the reception area

– Issue and audit secure keys and alarm systems.

– Comply with strict and robust security protocols

– Operate the switchboard

– Book company vehicles and taxis as required and ensure relevant account information is logged.

– Maintain room bookings for meetings using IT and diary systems

– Be primary cover for annual leave and sickness for reception team including weekend and Bank Holiday cover

– Provide efficient administration support within Reception and the Administration Department as a whole under the direction of the Administration Manager.

– Complete necessary electronic and paper systems

– Receive and sort mail and parcels on delivery, stamp, log, and audit all out-going mail.

– Assist in general filing, data collection, collation and input requirements of the Hospital as a whole under the direction of the Administration Manager.

– Act as Fire Marshall in event of a fire/ fire drill.

Please note this is a part time role working 20 Hours Per Week over varied shift patterns to include Nights, Weekend work and Bank holidays.

Cygnet Hospital Bury is 10 miles from Manchester City Centre. It is close to the M66, M62 and M60 motorways. There is free on-site parking for staff.
