We are currently looking for a Recruitment Assessor to work within our internal recruitment team here at Capita Customer Management, part of Capita Plc based at Preston Brook, Runcorn. The role of the Recruitment Assessor will be to represent Capita at in house assessment centres and recruitment events and assess and select the desired quality and quantity of new contact centre advisors across 4 core vacancy profiles: Customer Service, Sales, Collections and Team Manager.

This is a crucial role in the final part of the recruitment process, ensuring client contact centres are staffed to the required levels with the desired calibre of candidate. You will be responsible for running assessment centres and assessing candidates, providing candidate feedback, and supporting new starters until they enter the business. Acting as a brand ambassador for Capita, you will be required to uphold a positive image of the company and ensure all candidates are treated with fairness and professionalism at all times. You will also be responsible for accurate data management, as well as various ad hoc tasks to support effective delivery and promote a positive candidate experience. You must be proactive and flexible in your approach, and committed to working to achieve results.

What you will do:

  • Conduct effective assessment centres with multiple candidates in line with Capita standards and client specific requirements including role plays, group exercises and numeracy, literacy and brand awareness tests.
  • Understand and maintain knowledge of Capita company values and customer requirements, allowing effective decision making during the selection process.
  • Ensure the Applicant Tracking System is used appropriately and updated thoroughly to progress applications effectively and allow the production of meaningful and accurate management information.
  • Ensure candidates are updated on the outcome of the interview/role play in a fair and timely manner and that constructive feedback is given as and when necessary
  • Recommend improvements on the sourcing, screening and selection processes to the regional resourcing manager based on observations in, and experience of, assessment centres.
  • Adhere to compliance processes in relation to legal right to work and pre-employment screening and ensure that all relevant documentation is collected from candidates
  • Participating in ad-hoc recruitment events (open evenings, recruitment fairs etc) as requested by the Resourcing Site Manager.

Your experience will include:

Essential:

  • Candidate must drive and have their own vehicle a some travel is required - Liverpool, Preston, Bury, Manchester
  • Experience in a fast paced recruitment environment
  • Experience of being target driven and working towards tight deadlines and within short timescales.
  • Ability to make effective recruitment decisions working to a customer brief.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build relationships at all levels
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible approach.
  • IT literate (Keyboard skills, Microsoft Office applications, etc)

Desirable:

  • Experience working in an assessment centre or call centre environment
  • Experience within an in-house or managed service recruitment team
  • Experience of an end-to-end recruitment process and ATS software.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation impacting recruitment
