My client designs, manufactures and services food process equipment worldwide. They are specialists in providing turnkey solutions for food process and industrial applications. The given division manufacture pumps and valves to support their process systems and are mainly hygienic based throughout the UK. An outstanding opportunity has become available to join the UK team and head up the Central / Northern territory for their given brand.
Sales Manager Responsibilities
As sales manager you will be responsible for managing and developing all existing accounts across the area. The route to market consists of mainly of end users across the food process industry. You will be tasked with handling all enquiries and projects across the region. Strategically you will be involved with UK and European strategy of the flow division. The role will be home based however there is a great deal of interaction with the northern territory which have locally based offices to provide technical support and applications experience on given projects sales team and ongoing training at regional offices.
The role will be tasked to drive and develop, sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the flow product brands and will look to develop commercial and technical proposals within the team. Travel across the region will be required and there are great opportunities across Europe and internationally for progression as well as in the UK.
The successful sales manager MUST have mechanical flow related product sales experience for example with products such as pumps, valves, filtration, instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics, actuators, automation, chillers, compressors, vacuum or related systems sales products. Exposure to the food or beverage industry is also desirable but not essential. You may have experience as a technical sales engineer, business development manager, key account manager, sales manager or any other field based sales position.
The region is quite compact and although it stretches slightly further than this, the successful candidate must be based across the following areas; Manchester, Liverpool, Crewe, Warrington, Preston, Wigan, Leeds, Bradford, Hull, York, Newcastle, Teesside, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Paisley, Falkirk and surrounding areas.
There are great long terms prospects with this rapidly growing manufacturer vertically into management or horizontally into other areas of the business.
