The role of Segment Manager, Industry & Building is a newly created and exciting opportunity within our dynamic EMEA UK Marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Director and with two direct reports, the role is responsible for developing strategic plans in the Industry and Building segments in order to deliver growth across the Durapipe, GPS and Philmac brands. This position can be based at either our Cannock or Huntingdon office and will involve regular UK & European travel.

Purpose of the role

Working collaboratively with colleagues from across Europe, the Segment Manager will be fundamental in driving strategy and customer insight exercises, proposing and implementing the country growth plan in the Industry and Building segments, and converting this to operational marketing plans. You will develop the value propositions, translating customer needs into clear specifications for innovation and R&D whilst also leading Product Managers to coordinate the product portfolio in line with EMEA Product Strategy.

Do you have what it takes?

Proven Industrial Sector Management experience is important to succeed and make an impact in this strategic role. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound and credible commercial acumen and a pro-active approach. Other areas of expertise required include:

  • Strategy, Marketing or Business Development experience in industrial fluid management, or a closely related sector/product environment
  • Demonstrable experience in developing deep market understanding and translating customer needs into product/service development plans
  • Experience of leading NPD projects through a stage gate process
  • High level of knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
