Our client is a dynamic and forward thinking organisation that operates mainly in the financial services industry. Due to continued success and expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced client facing Senior Project Manager to join their team. PLEASE NOTE THAT CANDIDATES WITHOUT FS/INVESTMENT OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Our client undertakes the role as transfer agent for multiple Authorised Corporate Directors for both Institutional and Retail investors.

It is responsible for the daily processing of circa. £9.2bn of assets, duties including:

  • Client On-boarding (setting up new clients on the system, includes KYC, AML)
  • Dealing (instructions received via various means to buy/sell funds)
  • Box Management (process of managing the movements in/out of funds)
  • Transfers (instructions received via various means to move units between holders)
  • Cash Settlement (process of moving money for buys and sell of funds)
  • Cash & Asset Reconciliation
  • Distributions (calculation of interest (cash/units) received during fund period)
  • Monthly Transactions and Holdings Reporting (issuance of clients’ statements & transactions)

Role Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the creation of new, and ongoing, on-boarding pack(s) for Transfer Agency of clients.

  • Generate project plans with milestones and delivery expectations.
  • Generate 'operational readiness’ documentation for on-boarding.
  • Ensure that the clients understand all operation requirements in relation to Transfer Agency administration and in line with Regulatory requirements and their contractual obligations.
  • Develop relationships with TA clients based upon knowledge, trust and added value, ensuring that project implementation drives the ongoing stability of the relationship.
  • Lead both Internal and External project activity.
  • Lead and manage all Internal and External project meetings from a client perspective.
  • Provide quality assurance of all verbal and written communications.
  • Take overall responsibility for Fund Changes (including launches & closures), including appropriate changes including the updating of the appropriate documentation to its conclusion.
  • Actively involved in future on-boarding projects.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with Services clients and TA Operations.
  • Ensure clients comply with contractual terms of business.
  • Ensure that the services provided for clients is under appropriate commercial terms which reflect the risks and costs in supporting the client(s).
  • Identify and demonstrate when necessary, the principles of TCF.
  • Develop relationships with Transfer Agency clients based upon knowledge, trust and added value, ensuring that project implementation drives the ongoing stability of the relationship.
  • Lead both Internal and External project activity.
  • Lead and manage all Internal and External project meetings.
  • Provide quality assurance of all verbal and written communications.
  • Take overall responsibility for Fund Changes (including launches & closures), including appropriate changes including the updating of the appropriate documentation to its conclusion.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Degree
  • Ability to work to daily deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Operational knowledge of fund administration to ensure clear understanding of the processes involved in the Transfer Agency and Fund Accounting departments.
  • Attained modules in the IOC ("Investments Operations Certificate") - Not essential.
  • Pro-active individual who can challenge processes and recommend improvements.
  • Good analytical skills - can identify trends, issues, and provide recommendations that address root causes.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels with clients.
  • Proactive in identifying and assessing impact of regulatory and administrative obligations and forthcoming changes.

The Senior Project Manager will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and be used to working in a highly pressurized and fast paced environment.
