My client are quickly establishing a reputation as a leading main contractor in the East Midlands area. Since their recent inception, they have quickly moved to have over £100m worth of projects on the ground in the East Midlands area with typical values between £20m-£60m.

My client are looking for high-performing, experienced individuals with the following credentials:

  • Degree educated (or equivalent) in Construction Management or other relevant discipline
  • Previous Site Management experience with an established main contractor (blue chip preferred)
  • Experience in delivering Design & Build commercial construction projects with values of £15million or more
  • Relevant CSCS Certification
  • SMSTS & 1st Aid Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Ensure the work is constructed to meet Authority Requirements and Contractors Proposals;
  • Completion of company procedural documentation;
  • Formulating and developing construction programmes and monitoring progress against these;
  • Co-ordination of contractors operations at pre-construction and construction stage;
  • Run and accurately record weekly progress meetings, with a view to obtaining outcomes and actions which protect the company in terms of programme, cost and quality;
  • Mentoring and supporting team members;
  • Proactively support commercial and design teams;
  • Keep Project Manager fully informed at all times
  • Ensure health & safety risk is eliminated or reduced in construction, ensure that the company safety systems are set up, implemented, and reviewed at all stages;
  • Set up, implement and monitor quality and environmental systems;
  • Review all design for build ability and long term durability;
  • Support CSR BREEAM process and submission;
  • Leading the construction team;
  • To support and be familiar with own role and responsibility in respect of Business Continuity Planning. Ensuring that team members are also aware of the plans and communicates same.
