NHS National Services Scotland’s IT Strategic Business Unit (SBU) manages and delivers  IM&T services, systems, data and contracts which enable cross–agency, cross-board / boundary integration, workflow, information sharing, cost efficiency realization and collaboration.The key position of SWAN Service Manager has arisen within the National Infrastructure Team of NSS to manage the SWAN service contract for the Public Sector in Scotland.

The Service Manager will manage the SWAN service ensuring the reliability and quality of the day-to-day service provision to a Customer base that currently numbers 53 Public Sector organisations. The post holder will be responsible for Service Level Management, Business Service Continuity Management and Escalation Management including communications to stakeholders. Previous IT Service Management and Supplier Management experience are considered essential.

The position requires evidence of excellent personal organisation and communication skills. The postholder must be customer focussed and be able to lead and motivate staff.

The postholder will have knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge of:• IT and Network services• ITIL V3 (Foundation certificate as a minimum with broader qualifications preferred)• Public Sector environment

The postholder will report to the Associate Director within National Infrastructure and must demonstrate a proven Service Management/Delivery track record, with a passion and enthusiasm to progress their career in a demanding, but exciting and ever changing Shared Services landscape, where you will be expected to work and integrate with a broad range of stakeholders from across the Public Sector and 3rd party suppliers.Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.
