***A degree of 2:2 or above is essential along with GCSE grade C or above in Maths, English and Science
***Previous experience of working with children or adults with SEN requirements is preferred

To be shortlisted for this role, you must hold a degree with a classification of a 2:2 or above, relevant degrees such as Psychology, Special Education, Education or Early Years are particularly attractive.

The ideal Trainee Primary SEN Teacher candidate will have previous experience of supporting children or adults with SEN requirements or of supporting learning more generally and experience gained across settings will be considered relevant (both in and outside of education). The school are keen to meet with passionate graduates eager to make a positive impact in the lives of those with additional needs.

At this small, vibrant school each class has up to a maximum of 12 students. Initially you will be working in a support capacity, working alongside several experienced TAs and the Class Teacher. As you develop in this Trainee Primary SEN Teacher role you will begin to take on additional responsibilities gaining first-hand experience of lesson planning and book marking, working closely alongside the Class Teacher. You will also be offered the opportunity to take on more teaching responsibilities as you progress into the second year year of this 2-year teacher training programme.

Found in Brentwood, this SEN school is easily accessible by both road and public transport and is a mere 15 minute walk from the nearest train station. Catering for learners with moderate needs the behaviour here is impeccable and all students are eager learners, with the need for physical interventions practically non-existent. Boasting state-of-the-art facilities the school are also in the process of obtaining permission to add a Key Stage 5 provision from 2020.
