As a Contract Manager, reporting into the Senior Contract Manager, you will be leading an on-site warehouse operation for a strategic customer in Garretts Green, Birmingham. Working combined on-site and office locationthis position offers a great opportunity for somebody with the desire to build relationships and deliver best practice in customer service. You will be accountable for the day to day provision of workers and the management of the warehouse employees, whilst ensuring a high level of professionalism and communication to both, the customer and the temporary workforce.

The successful applicant will be given an opportunity to develop a career within the recruitment sector, working within the market leading provider of temporary workforce solutions throughout the UK and Ireland and exposure to some of the UK's leading retail / logistics companies as their lead supplier of HGV drivers and warehouse workers.

The main areas of responsibility are:

  • Nurturing, building, and maintaining strong relationships with our client partner; anticipating staffing requirements and expectations and developing value-added services to support changing client needs
  • Recruiting, hiring and on-boarding of hourly production/warehouse employees
  • Managing all aspects of field employee employment at the site
  • Acting as liaison between our client and local branch/leadership team
  • Developing creative, proactive solutions to staffing and performance challenges
  • Fostering an environment of teamwork and cooperation and a culture of workplace safety
  • Personifying our organisation at the client work site; demonstrating the company's and the area's core values, operating principles, and service differentiation

Our ideal candidate would:

  • Be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and a demonstrable ability to work under pressure
  • Have excellent problem solving skills, the ability to plan ahead and anticipate potential challenges
  • Be computer literate (Microsoft Word, Office, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have supervisory/management experience
  • Have strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
  • Have high levels of motivation and self-direction
  • Have ability to work after hours and on weekends when required
  • Have ability to walk the facility floor frequently throughout a shift
  • Have ability to travel between our customer site(s)
